STATE CONTRACTUAL COLLEGE FUND
The SCSF Program was created by the General Assembly to provide financial assistance to needy NC resident students attending eligible nonprofit private colleges and institutions located in NC. The North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA) administers the SCSF Program as directed by the General Assembly. Each approved institution administers the program for the eligible students and licensure students that it enrolls. Funds for the SCSF program are contingent each year upon the appropriations made available to the NCSEAA by the General Assembly.  Contact your college financial aid office for an application.

NC STATE SCHOLARSHIPS
The NC State Scholarship Awards Program has been in existence since 1981, with the selection process becoming increasingly competitive each year. They offer a limited number of scholarships to incoming students based on merit and/or need. Therefore students are encouraged to apply for admission to NC State early since they must be accepted to be invited to apply for a scholarship. Available scholarships can be viewed at: http://ced.ncsu.edu/student_services/scholarship_info.php.

COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS
Once you have narrowed down your top 4-5 college picks and have begun the application process, visit the financial aid/scholarship link to search scholarships specific to that college.  Colleges/Universities tend to have fall scholarship deadlines so don't delay.  Some colleges will offer one scholarship application to enroll a student for all scholarships, some will require a student to browse through the list of scholarships and apply to individual scholarships.
